Who we are
This website, joshhepple.com, is operated by Josh Hepple (“we”, “us”). We provide Disability Equality Training to organisations across the UK. If you have any questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at josh.hepple@gmail.com.
What information we collect
We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us. This includes information you provide through our contact form or by email: your name, email address, organisation, and anything you tell us about your team or enquiry. We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, through our hosting provider’s standard logs and any analytics described in the Cookies section below.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to discuss and arrange training, to deliver our services, and to keep basic business records such as invoices. If you have enquired about or booked training, we may contact you about that work. We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails without a lawful basis for doing so. Every marketing style email we send includes a way to opt out, and we will stop contacting you at any time if you ask.
Our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we rely on the following lawful bases: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (responding to enquiries and arranging training), performance of a contract (delivering booked training), legal obligation (keeping accounting records), and legitimate interests (maintaining business contacts and following up with organisations that have shown interest in our training, in a way you would reasonably expect and that does not override your rights).
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. We keep records connected to bookings and invoices for six years, as required for tax purposes. We review contact information periodically and delete details we no longer need.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our website hosting provider and email provider, and only so far as needed to provide those services. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments. We will disclose information if required to do so by law.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to ask us to transfer it to you or another provider.
